People often ask me “why is my quiz funnel not working?”

Building a quiz funnel is so much more than just the quiz itself.

With quiz funnels converting at a 40-50% sign up rate and a potential 38.8% sales rate, it’s obvious why so many business owners want a quiz funnel help them grow their business.

So it can be disheartening when the quiz funnel you built just isn’t pulling in the results.

1. You didn’t pitch your quiz at the right point in the customer journey.

Building a quiz is part of an overarching marketing strategy. When you build a quiz funnel it needs to have a purpose and it needs to be pictched at the right point in the customer journey. Pitching it at the latter stages of the customer journey where the customer is problem and solution aware is likely to lead to quicker results than one that focusses at the top of the funnel where customers are not problem aware.

2. You didn’t design your quiz funnel with the goal in mind

The questions in the quiz should be focussed on delivering the goal. If they are questions for questions sake then it won’t give your audience value and it also won’t work for your business.

3. You didn’t give value to those completing your quiz.

If you complete a quiz you’ve invested time in it, so you want something back in return. For example, some information about knowledge gaps, some tips on what to do next that relates to your answers. It doesn’t have to be big, but it has to be relevant and it has to be valuable.

4. You didn’t wrap an effective email and sales strategy around your quiz to make it into a quiz funnel.

If you get people to do your quiz and then just pop them onto your general mailing list, you are missing out big time on the results a quiz and deliver for your business. You need to use the results of the quiz to help you nurture your audience in a way that moves them along the customer journey. Personalising this experience with the results of the quiz enables them to take that journey so much quicker. Why? Because the content is super relevant!

5. You didn’t promote your quiz.

Once you have your quiz funnel finely tuned you need to focus on promoting it. The more appropriate traffic you can get to the landing page the more the funnel is going to convert. It’s time to get creative about how you can get your quiz in front of people.
